Why John Blom?
To return Clark County government to common sense and common decency so that it can focus on the common good.
John is a northwest native with a Bachelors and Masters degree in History with a minor in Business. He’s worked as a researcher with the US Army Combat Studies Institute, currently serves on the Board of Columbia River Mental Health, and is currently a member of the Clark County Planning Commission. In 2014, John was recognized by the Vancouver Business Journal and received recognition as “Accomplished & under 40.” John is also the recipient of the George C. Marshall leadership award for 2015, which is our highest local honor.
Clark County needs new leadership in District 3 – John’s education, leadership, and public service make him the best choice to truly ensure an open and transparent government.
“A good leader seeks to build consensus to meet the needs of the people that they serve. John Blom is that leader.” Senator Ann Rivers
“I’ve known John Blom since he was appointed to the Clark County Planning Commission in 2013 and greatly appreciate the insights he has brought to the Planning Commission. I heartily endorse his candidacy for County Council.” Steve Studley
